I already had 1 pair and decided to get 2 more to help teach new folks at the range and I also use these for construction noise suppression. They work great, long battery life, and quality is top tier. Only downside is they are a bit bulky if you're looking to cheekweld. Overall if you're looking for top performance for reasonable cost on hearing protection I would recommend this. I also would not cheap out on protecting your hearing.

I have a lot of Peltor earmuffs. This one was expensive and a HUGE disappointment. I went to the shooting range last week and used it. They claim 24db noise reduction --- no way. I went home with my ears ringing. It is Much louder than my other similarly rated headsets. It has the WORST headband on it of any of my headsets (worse even than my $29 bargain headsets) --- far worse. It is not 'soft' in any way, in fact they made a plastic ridge in the center of it that is quite uncomfortable. Perhaps it is a good product for other uses, but for shooting, it falls completely flat. I will buy more headsets in the future, but probably never again a Peltor --- they should know better. They USED to do better, what happened? It is going into my 'expensive but not very good' bucket.

I had been looking for a set of earmuffs that worked and especially fit. I ran across a used Peltor set at a pawn shop, not knowing the brand I was impressed. I ended up leaving with out them but later realized I should have got them. Well they ended up selling prior to my return. So after a little brand research online I decided to buy this set. I sure am happy I did. The fit is great, I can still carry a conversation well wearing them, they connect to my phone via bluetooth and they actually muffle the higher decibel sound. I know I will not be shopping for another brand. Definitely worth a shot.

I have owned 3 previous headsets, but this unit is more comfortable and block out an amazing amount of noise at the range BEFORE I turn on the electronics! Speech is easier to comprehend and the cut out of sharp noises is exactly what I wanted. Not inexpensive, but a great product.

I have owned a pair of the Peltor 3M Sport Tactical 500 EHP for over 12 months now and have purchased another 3 pairs for other hunting friends now. They are comfortable to wear all day long and the battery life (once you adjust the appropriate settings to your own personal requirements) are very good indeed. No interference when mounting your firearm and fully adjustable. Slotted headband to fit right over the top of your favorite ball-cap. The Bluetooth feature is an added bonus for activities other than hunting or firearm use. The most reliable, versatile and essential piece of hunting kit I have ever owned. Peltor 3M is a trusted and reputable brand, highly recommended.

Just received my 500s today. As with most earmuffs, these are barely big enough to fit my pumpkin head, very little room for padding under the head band. I've read some negative over the headband becoming uncomfortable during long periods of use. Here's some stats that might put that into perspective, I have both the 100s and now the 500s. The 100s start off with a much more comfortable padded headband, something that the 500s are lacking, but here is something to consider. Most of the reviewers are comparing the two without considering all the differences. The 100s weigh in at 9.95 oz. and the 500s at 14.72 oz. (with batteries) I believe, if the new headband (from the 500) was on the 100, you would hear less complaining about the comfort. Approx. 5 oz. increase in weight makes a huge difference when it's hanging on your head. That said, padding is available to ease the discomfort of the added weight. For that extra weight you get improved electronics which is the compromise we should expect. The sound quality of the Bluetooth is not a match for some music headphones but it is adequate for voice and phone. I have used Bluetooth earplugs in conjunction with the 100s and found this to be a great combination. The Bluetooth range on these, was a disappointment as it's rated at 25 ft. although the instructions say it is compatible with other units, all my other Bluetooth headphones are good to about 100 ft. I mentioned my hat size for a reason, these only work fully extended and I'm expecting to make some mods to the wire supports when my padding arrives. All in all, I'm satisfied with these earphones for the price. Pricewise, these can be found for under $115 if you take the time to look. Although I'm satisfied with these, IMHO- the combo of the 100s and the Bluetooth earplugs would have sufficed.Read full review

I’ve had them for a few weeks, sound suppression is good and Bluetooth works great . Used firing 10.5” 5.56 upper indoors and hearing protection is excellent. Bluetooth works great with iPhone 6 and easy to link and use. Audio clarity is excellent and 100% natural sounding. My complaint is that compared to my Sordin Supreme Pro the low noise amplification is very minimal. The Peltors can’t compare with the Sordins for low noise amplification for hunting applications. But the Sordins are unreliable, repaired once and failing again., feedback noise and shutting off every few minutes. Sordin are great when they work and don’t provide audio feedback but they have proved to by unreliable.

Only used for two F-class range shoots so far. Looks and feels like a quality set off ear muffs. Electronics seem to work well, can talk with shooting in the background on an outdoor range fine. AA batteries are a plus, but are hard to remove from the ear muffs. Needed to pry them out with a flat screw driver as they are in there tight. There is not a lot of room inside the muff area but I guess that just comes from been nrr26 with quite a slim profile.

Works great. Can listen to radio via Bluetooth or talk on the phone while shooting. Very easy to use. Looking forward to hunting season to use as sound amplifiers for animals in the woods.
