Fun movie and a culture lesson too
I find myself working with a lot of Asian people right now. I wanted to immerse myself into Asian culture without traveling halfway around the world. This vid did it. Warning Chick Flick Ahead!
Well done movie about a young Asian couple. His side comes from money and her side doesn't. They go to Singapore to meet the family. Nice cinematography and good performances. I especially liked Awkwafina's performance as Peik Lin Goh, the crazy friend. I wouldn't be surprised to see her win an award for this one. The movie is worth watching but in the end turns into a chick flick. Can you see the American female public crying into a tissue as they watch this one (lol)? Yes guys sooner or later your wife or girlfriend will want to see this so just go now and get it over with. Otherwise you may experience "Chick Flick Future Syndrome" which is when you know a chick flick is coming up soon but don't know when or where.
