Everyone raves about this knife so I had to get one for myself and experience it. The first thing you will notice is that it is large. It dwarfs every other pocket knife I own, but Buck knows what they're doing and it came with a beautiful leather sheath. The knife is flawless when you hold it in your hand you know you have something of substance and value, very rare in this world. The wood smells fresh and is smooth to the touch every pin correct every bolster polished to perfection and it opens like a knife with authority. When it is locked you can feel it and know for certain it is going no where but where you direct it. The blade is fierce, solid like an animal ready to strike. The simple beauty of this knife is what makes it an American classic and it lives up to the hype. I am now of the opinion that everyone should own one just to understand what it means to have a quality American pocket knife.Read full review

When I received buck 110, everything was nice and tight, a little too tight. But after opening and closing (I never actually used it) the knife, the blade became a bit loose. It shouldn't be loose at all. I contacted buck and I'm going to send it in (on my dime). I have not had a buck knife in a long time so I cant attest to the quality of their knives in the past, but I have many knives that are in the same price range that would never have a loose blade.

Knives are a matter of choice. I am 60 years old, and been working in Warehousing for most of my life. I started using my first Buck at the age of 22. The longest that I've gone without having one on my hip is 4 months..... Great steel... easy to sharpen.... withstand being dropped on concrete when I ve been an idiot and missed putting it back in the sheath. I Honestly feel naked without it on my hip!

This is such an overwhelming beautiful knife that I don’t want to use it. One day it will become a work knife, but for now it belongs in a museum. Please believe all the positive reviews about what a work of art this top-of-the-line knife really is. It is a Buck, and that is all we need to know. The steel is Buck 110+. You just have to understand, and handle this thing, something beyond which I am able to provide here. It is a personal experience handling this knife. I would insist on buying the Ebony version.

Knife was used and what I expected. The only disappointment was that the tip of the blade had been broken off by the previous owner. The photos were accurate but just wish the description had been more accurate. The blade was ground down to reshape the edge for the broken tip. More of drop point now than a clip point. The knife is still beautiful. This is a 50'th Anniversary edition and I like the tang stamp on the blade. I would have sent it back to Buck to have the clip point exchanged but the no longer have any blades with the correct tang stamp. Still I am happy with this purchase.

The Buck 110 has to be one of the most iconic knives of the last 50 years. A beautiful design that hasn't need to be changed, the only problem some might find for every day carry is that it is a bit large and heavy; if you're not a belt-wearer it may not work out. The design is aesthetically pleasing and tough as nails, many folks have had their 110s since childhood and still have and carry them to this day. It takes a lot to wear out one of these puppies, and the blade takes a wicked sharp edge that lasts longer than one would imagine. In my opinion, everybody should own a Buck 110. Get one now!

Purchased for my wife - replacing 3 ‘old timer’ Schrades. We each have two buck folders - sharpened - we can skin and quarter a whitetail without having to resharpen either - the 420 hc steel is the perfect ticket!! Quality is unsurpassed, ergonomics perfect, blade fit plus locking system A+++!She Also own a personalized - engraved Folder - absolutely pristine piece!! One of her prized possessions!! Literally unsurpassed knife!! Thanks so much to the folks in Idaho for ‘caring’ and making this product available. Larry F. Penna.

I am a casual knife collector and this item makes me realize the value of a well crafted product. It's easy to see why this is a classic. Sharp out of the box, blade was perfectly centered and the quality was obvious (the price was also great). Well done Buck Knives!

Can't beat the classic looks and quality lock back. Always wanted one of these knifes glad I found one at a good price.. Not as practical as a aluminum framed linear lock with a clip but I don't care I love it. More a out door camping tool than a daily carry knife.

This is his second in two years. I bought one last year for my husband for Christmas as he had one before. Anyway while playing poker his knife was switched as he left it on the table with a older, gouged blade that had been filed with a cracked handle. Who would do such a thing? Obviously someone who likes a buck as well (thief). He told me not to replace it but I couldn't stand it, so I bought a new one for the second Christmas in a row. Maybe this will last longer. He Love's, love ,love's it. I'm glad I didn't listen to him.
