This WILL save your lens that you are unable to replace like the other hero cameras. The skeleton back is my favorite and does not restrict the audio as much as I thought it would. I feel safe attaching the camera to my sons longboard now that it is well protected. I also feel safe taking it for a snorkel session and everything will remain safe. But if you are going underwater put the waterproof backing on.
