Very happy for starter or star party eye pieces Barlow would recommend better quality tried on several
60X360MM 80X550MM Refractor's 90x1200mm reflector Worked well with all ..Better than any eye piece that came with scopes ...Not SV... TV Explorer scientific...
Great for children. It's a little bit flimsy, but I bought it for an 8 year old who may get bored quickly, so high quality wasn't what I wanted. It can provide an awesome picture of the moon, but it's hard to get aligned to a star. Even getting aligned to something as big as the moon is difficult. I was blown away by what I could see on the moon. It will be hard for a child to get a good view of a star.
Great magnification, good for families and hobbyists, lightweight and transportable .
It was perfect for first time users with three young kids. My 12year old was able to put it together. I love how adjustable the height is because we all range in size. This could easily be folded up with all the components and put in the carrying bag which looks like a yoga mat bag and it can be taken hiking or camping. It is super lightweight. We were able to easily see the Conjunction a few weeks ago. It has made my kids very happy. I recommend for new hobbyists. Lightweight, good and clear magnification and great price.
The scope worked reasonably well as a terrestrial scope, but was woefully inadequate for anything astronomical. The optics are terrible. I was unable to focus on anything; and, the spotting scope is virtually useless. The mount is very flimsy and unstable. I wouldn't recommend this scope as a child's toy, much less anything else...
It maybe german teck but made in asia, mostly plastic tubes and mounts, lens are not coated, looks like a toy, and a very flimsy trypod, it will not hold steady
