Caveat: I'm still learning how to use this beast, but so far it's been easy to learn and easy to work with. I come from using an old (and I mean old) Westen light meter and an old Pentax Spot Meter, so the jump in technology and level of information is remarkable. I'm still using a zone system but also learning to use this meter in my cine work too. So far so good, though I do miss my 1 degree spot view from time to time. Build quality is very good for the price. It's easy to read the results and readings in many lighting conditions and the data is presented large enough for me not to have to strain or move the device to read them. I do recommend this puppy to still, video and film makers of all skill levels!

I have high expectation for Japanese product, this is a meter and the price is not cheap compare to Chinese made or not well-known one. It should look and feel like those Sanwa meter, unfortunately it's not. that might because produced in Philippines and reduce cost. very disappointed
