Great little kitchen tool
I saw this in Cook's Illustrated and thought it looked interesting. I thought it might work well on the boat where I don't have room for large appliances. I was skeptical but was totally surprised at how well it works. It is solidly made of quality materials. The dough actually slides off of it without oiling the whisk. Sturdy, surprising tool
These come in both wood and metal, and I chose metal to make sure it lasts. The welding is beautiful. This particular one is made for a big hand, which is typically a guy (not to be sexist), just to let you know. What's remarkable is that the strange wiring really does work. I've mixed bread dough and pancake batter and banana bread and this tool makes it go incredibly quickly and incredibly completely. Just the tool to avoid overbeating
Some baked goods need to be just barely mixed, not overbeaten. This coarse whisk is perfect for that! I had a similar whisk with a wood handle I bought many years ago from King Arthur Flours, and it worked great, but eventually the handle loosened.
