This fuel/water filter (black one) does not fit my 2019 Dodge Ram Big Horn 2500 6.7L diesel. Local dealer states "fits 2013 thru 2018. Had to purchase correct canister type filter from dealer. Product is factory replacement but for prior year.

Although it will work it was made for 12 and under trucks before they updated to a newer filter with better filtration. The newer part has greenish nano netting on the inside. Seller has big lettering 13 and up trucks so it threw me off and didn’t catch the outdated part number. The newer filter is more expensive and sells on eBay for about what I paid on this auction. The older style is what all the auto parts have for about 40 bucks each.

Be careful if you opt for the cheaper versions. Cummins recommends 2 micron if you can actually find one. The mopar filters are 5 micron. Others can be 10, or even 15. Fine until your fuel pump can't take it anymore and moves back home to Mom. Bottom line: all filters are not built the same no matter that they look identical.
