I bought two packages of the Doorman 49455 bushings for my Cavalier and spent two weeks trying to install them with the help of Doorman's technical support. All six of the covered, domed bushings broke upon installation. Even with extreme care, warming the product, using sockets to insure alignment, and lubrication; the amount of force necessary to install them exceeds the amount of force they can withstand. Even with the sockets, they consistently go in misaligned. If they do go in, the barbs that retain them in the hole shear off, allowing them to fall right out. Also, if they go in, it requires so much force that the domes on top crack like slices of a pizza pie, allowing the metal ball it rests upon to protrude through the top as the linkage falls too low around the ball. I would not recommend this product. If I could not get this product to work, despite all my determination and experience, I seriously doubt anyone can.Read full review

Bushings are brittle and crack and if you do get them in they bind. Better to invest a little more and buy the complete wiper linkages AKA transmission.
