NotesLimited double vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered previously unavailable live set released to coincide with the reggae legend's 70th birthday year. Bob Marley & the Wailers: Easy Skanking In Boston '78, features a historic live show from Boston's Music Hall, June 8, 1978. Bob Marley and the Wailers had broken through to the American mainstream by the time they arrived at Boston's Music Hall for two shows on June 8, 1978. Easy Skanking in Boston '78, captures the first of two sets that evening. Highlights of the performance include a lively "Jammin'" and "The Heathen, " a song Marley and the band didn't perform during the second set. The show features them at their most comfortable, truly enjoying themselves in the spotlight, basking in the appreciation of the audience. This new and unreleased performance is from the Marley family giving unprecedented access for the first time to their personal material from their private collections and their vaults .
Absolutely top-shelf. Incredible, expansive recording. This was recorded at the great Boston Music Hall, which sadly stopped staging concerts decades ago. On a good stereo you feel like you are there. The digital copies I've heard are okay, but the vinyl has so much more fullness and depth. Excellent 180g pressing. POUNCE!
My one small complaint; there are no credits on the jacket, like who played bass, etc. Why? There's plenty of room. Oh, well. (I found the info on line anyway.)
