Great sound characteristics on the menu that actually change when you select them.
We have a large open ceiling great room/kitchen that is eighteen feet high and this system produces enough sound to fill it twice over and makes watching our new 4K Smart 75" QLED Samsung fell like we are at the movies. This is an absolutely great sound system.
I purchased this to replace an older Vizio sound bar. What a mistake. The Vizio was $145 brand new and blows this one away. I thought I was buying an upgrade but man was I wrong. The volume at full barely is louder than my wife running the vacuum cleaner and the bass cranked all the way up is disappointing. I think I'm going to hook my Vizio up again. My advice is save your money and give this product a hard pass.
T650 is OK, not great, but beware BestBuy openbox deals.
First of all, very BAD experience with BestBuy. I'll never buy anything from them that's marked open box again. The soundbar did not include any of the accessory items, which was acceptable, but more importantly it had no remote. The T650 is useless without a remote. It does not work with any phone apps, so a remote is the only way to change various settings. BestBuy's only option was to return it. I found a cheap chinese remote and decided to keep it anyway. It sounds good, better than the tv speakers alone, but it's not great. It needs a broader equalizer range, not just treble and bass. Dialog is clear, but sounds appear muffled not crisp, no matter what settings are used. Usually cranking treble to max of +6, and sounds are still not crisp.
Over all good, my problems with it is difficult to get a good balance between voices and sound effects. When there are action scenes they are so ridiculously loud compared to the vocals. Had to adjust the equalizer a lot to get it a bit better, but the EQ only is adjustable on standard mode and sometimes has to be turn on. Some broadcasts are really loud and others really low and I have to play with the volume a lot (probably cuz it has one shared amp operating all the speakers). Other then that when the balance is right it’s great speaker. Probably wouldnt re- purchase.
I purchased this soundbar specifically so I could turn it off when we turned off the TV. That is, the TV is a Samsung as well. Well the soundbar turns off when the TV is powered off. The problem is, the universal remote supplied by our cable company will no longer turn on and off the TV. I'm not sure exactly what happened but it no longer controls the sound or the power on the TV. The sound bar sounds good plus the added subwoofer gives a nice boost to the bass. It would seem to me that the soundbar interferes with the universal remote. Time will tell if it can be fixed.
