Tired of wasting time and $$ on cheap controllers
After wasting my time and money on bargain basement controllers, decided to go for something that worked properly from the beginning, and didn't fail after a few months of use. Excellent diagnostics, easy to understand display, and a well-written user guide. Very easy to install and very easy to use. Company (Morningstar) has a great reputation and history of designing high quality solar controllers. You can even get support from the company here in the USA, and that is not possible for the cheap knock-offs.

Solar charge controller
I needed a new controller as my old one stopped working. This unit is well designed and works great. I already have a battery monitor so I didn’t need the one with a meter. It has some dip switches to set some parameters and it charges at 14.6 volts which will do a great job keeping your batteries fully charged. My only gripe is it doesn’t have an on/off switch, my wiring doesn’t have a breaker, so I will have to use my fused disconnect to turn it off or on, or add a switch later, which is probably what I will do. All in all, it’s a great unit. Morning Star products are in Handy Bob’s blog as the “good guys” so I’m sure it will perform well.

You won’t be disappointed
This is the best PWM charge controller in its class. There are many “low cost” controllers, but the PS30 is the best quality and performance. I’m using these in parallel and they work well together to provide more amps from my solar panels.

Soar controller
Great product. My only misgiving is my fault. I wanted a model with adjjustability because that's what an expert recommended. However, this product will fufilll my needs fine anyway.

It's the second one I've purchased!
Without spending too much you get intelligent charging with digital readout that toggles between solar charging amps, battery voltage and load amps. I like to know what's going on and not just that it's charging.
