2017 Macbook Pro 15 Inch Good to Go
Fantastic computer with beautiful high resolution screen. Really like the new keyboard with Touchbar, Touch ID, and larger Touch Pad. Increased surface area makes it even easier to manipulate your way through applications. It was easy to set up and transfer files from my 2013 Macbook Pro 13 inch to my new Mac. Lightning fast processor is easy to see the difference in speed from my old Mac. Did not know if I would like the Space Grey color as I originally wanted Silver but price from vendor was about $400 cheaper. I can tell you the Space Grey is just as nice as the silver as far as looks go. Some folks complaining about the USB-C ports really should look at buying a block adapter as I did, it works great and I do not have to contend with extra wires from dongles. Installed 2016 Office for Mac but did run through Mac's provided complimentary applications and they appear to be just as good but not really sure if they are compatible with people using windows. Good laptop - needed some disk cleanup on arrival.
The laptop I got works well and is what was advertised. The only drawback was that the unit was not completely wiped when I got it. 2017 Macbook Pro 15" is a high quality laptop at not too great of a price.
The 2017 Macbook Pro 15" is a well-designed, well-made laptop. The screen is bright and clear. The touchpad is the best I've ever used. The battery has a fairly long life. The keyboard is love-or-hate. It has shallow key travel, but it still feels tactile and is easy to use. It is a big upgrade from 2015 and prior, but not much of an upgrade from 2016. Sleek Device, portable with high performance
I had a lot of discretion before getting the 2017 Macbook Pro because of the huge amount of negative feedback I have seen for it. A lot of people still prefer the 2015 model, but I opted to purchase the 2017 model for the updated processor and lighter form factor. Although I don't have any personal experience with the 2015 version of the Macbook, I am completely satisfied with my experience with the 2017 model so far. It is a really sleek device with a great screen. The performance have been flawless and the battery life is great. It can get a little bit hot while the device is charging, but it's nothing uncomfortable. A lot of people experienced issues with the keyboard, but it hasn't been an issue for me. The keyboard does have very light key travel, so it may not be suited for anyone who really likes to "press in" to the keyboard. Personally, it took a little getting used to, but it has gotten comfortable as I use it more. I am still typing over 100 wpm on this device. Overall, I would recommend the 2017 MPB for anyone who is looking to purchase a MPB. However, if you could afford to wait for the newer model to come out, then that's probably also preferred. I needed a MBP at this time and the 2017 MPB has been a stellar device that met all of my needs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent for HD video editing
