Absolutely love this iPhone SE
Having been a user of a iPhone Model 4 for several years, I just could not tolerate the bigger phones. Finally someone suggested I check out the Model SE which is almost the same size as my beloved Model 4. Well, the SE is about the same size as the 4 which fits well into my shirt pocket, is easier to hold, yet has the same and/or similar internal chips, processors and other gizmos that the larger and much more expensive iPhone models have. So I bought an "unlocked" iPhone SE and I'm in love all over again. Otterbox even makes an "achiever" model case for it that is nearly indestructible The only thing about the iPhone SE compared to a few other smart phones out there is battery life. I have not timed it but it is definitely not as long as my MOTO E4 (motorola) which will go almost 2 whole days on a single charge. To make the iPhone SE's battery life work for me I simply go into settings and have it "time-out" after 5 minutes. That way I can usually go from the time I get out of bed in the morning until I turn in at night without any problems. Also, when I'm driving, I plug it into the car's charger and I do NOT talk on the phone or text while driving. That helps to keep it charged up. Overall I made a 100% great decision to buy this iPhone SE and would not go back at all. Highly recommend it without any hesitation. I'm currently running it on Verizon with excellent results. I even tried the "hot spot" feature and logged onto it with my desktop computer. Results? My download speeds are TWICE as fast as my landline DSL speed. IPhone 6&7 are too big 5se is just right
My daughter lost her older 5s, she loved the size and when I learned that the 5se had the same speed as the 6 we bought it. All we did to get setup was restore the phone from a previous I cloud backup. Enter the passwords for our mail accounts and we were running. Apple may release an SE II sometime soon, but predicted cost-per-month until iOS support ends is unlikely to improve; assuming Apple's usual 5 years from release, a replacement would need to cost no more than 5/3 an SE.. Plenty of used SEs seem barely distinguishable from new, and battery live is more than adequate for users used to overnight recharging. Small form factor, headphone jack and cheap lightning cables and accessories shared with most iPads weigh in favor of the current SE. Camera adapter support is a useful improvement in SE over 4S; touch ID not so much.
