OUT with the old iPhone 3GS. IN with the newer iPhone 7!
I had to replace my old iPhone 3GS. It would not stay connected to a cell tower for more than 10 minutes. I installed a new battery since after 10 years it needed one. But that did not fix the issue. A new SIM and a Factory reset did not fix it. AT&T gave me conflicting info about tower upgrades and said I needed to upgrade. Even though it is 3G network technology. I felt they were intentionally forcing customers with old phones to upgrade. I could place a call and talk for over an hour without dropping a call. But my ability to initiate a call was short and would get Call Failed in about 10 minutes of cell tower connection. I could toggle airplane mode off and on to establish another connection and use the phone that way. This got old quick. With no resolution from ATT, I finally decided to give in and upgrade but not from ATT. I said all of that to let you know how reluctant to upgrading I was. I struggled with this issue for 2 months. Anyway, I went to Ebay and found this used iPhone 7 256gb for a great price. It exceeded my expectations. It appeared brand new with no scratches or blemishes at all. Effective battery charge is 100%. (I expected it to be 50% used up.) It also came with a new wall charger and cable. I use a product called iMazing to backup my phone and I was able to restore all my data in 20 minutes from my old phone. I was up and running in no time. Lots of new features. Way faster than my old iPhone. It takes better pictures and with 256gb storage, I won’t be filling it up anytime soon. I have Siri now! I can call people with my voice. Siri has made things a lot easier. Schedule a reminder with ease. Or lookup something without typing. I did not want a bleeding edge phone that would cost almost a grand and not fit in my pocket and be way more fragile. I settled on this 7. And so glad I did. For the quality and the price ($320), this gently used, unlocked, 256gb, iPhone 7 fit all my needs and then some. That doesn’t mean I will become a phone zombie like the rest of the world, i just have a better tool than I did before. Hopefully it will last me another 10 years.Read full review

Very satisfied with the two iPhone 7s -- working perfectly. Also, great price for the 128 GB model. The transition from our old iPhone 5S phones was flawless. Only (minor) complaint is that the metal cases were both dinged up and scratched a little more than I would expect for "very good condition". But this is purely cosmetic and has no effect on the workings of the phone. The glass screens on both phones were unscratched and in excellent condition. Highly recommend getting a case that has a good grip. The phones are pretty slippery and easy to drop.
