great inexpensive phone. great photos video & music hifi dac. best phone under $300
Awesome phone under $300. buy it now used for under $200. Great for everything. makes great YouTube content. built in microphone & software best of high end phones. better sound recording if you use software than Sony nex & a6000 cameras.
use with camscanner app & great document scanner also. wide angle camera great as well. great DAC too.
think you need to spend at least $350 on chinese made phone to get better & 500 on Samsung or Apple. the LG v30 is a little over $350 used but no removable battery. also think front camera on this better than LG v30.
for under $250 cannot find better phone
It is a pretty good phone although it is a bit bigger in size than I have thought of it. It is functioning pretty good so far as I bought it almost 2 months ago. I like the camera it has, takes pretty clear pictures. Worth of its price. Battary life is awesome if we keep the phone locked mode , charges faster. Finger print power button is awesome . It is faster than an iPhone 6. I would love to have one more of this of its newer version in the future though I am getting used to in it.
This case is durable, its easy to hold with out slippage and it looks good and well made. I had a speck case before this one, but it didn't have the ridges that this one has, and I was always dropping the other one. Speck is a good case though, so the drops didn't harm my phone although eventually it broke the case. This one is easier to hold on to. I don't foresee dropping it as often as the one without grip, and I know it will protect my phone when i do!
This has the feel of a premium phone. Fingerprint scanner works great and is super fast. I love the second screen - it's very useful for checking out notifications and quick access to apps. The camera is the best that I've had on a phone. I haven't messed with the manual settings for the camera, but I'm looking forward to it. I like the size of the phone as well. Large, but doesn't feel too unwieldy. Love the removable battery as well. I doubt it's going to see many updates, and there can be a slight lag at times when using it, but overall it's a fantastic value and I love it.
I've only been using the device for about a month, but its been great so far. It performs all the tasks I've asked of it smoothly and reliably. The battery lasts all day unless you're using it for games, then you're only going to get a few hours. The included charger charges the phone within an hour or less. The camera takes good photos from what I've seen.
I have run across a couple negatives though. I personally don't care for the large size of the phone, a did not realize just how big a 5.7" display is, and for me this phone requires two hands. My thumb cannot reach the top 1/3 of the phone when used in one hand. If you have average sized or smaller hands, beware of this. Additionally, the speaker is on the bottom and you can accidentally block it pretty easily. Lastly, until I did some tinkering in Android's settings, locking the screen was not preventing the phone from opening apps while in my pocket.
Coming back from Windows 8 mobile, Android certainly has more apps, but the actual OS still feels as inconsistent as it did three years ago.Read full review
