This was an awesome purchase! 100% satisfied! Exactly as advertised, plus more. Boundlessmacs doesn't just refurbish MacBooks; they make them better than the original. This is a 2015 MacBook Pro 15. But the insides are upgraded to 2022 specs. They give you a brand new battery. Even the OS is Monterrey! i7 plus turbo boost, it's as if it was built from the bottom-up in 2022. (which it was!) My video editing is a breeze with this thing! A better deal IMHO than a brand new MacBook Pro 16. Does everything the latest MacBook does for $1,500 less! What a value! Don't spend all your money on that latest MacBook! Why would you pay over $2,000 when you can get the same thing for around $500. Plus, it is built so well that it will last for years. Boundlessmacs even gives you a 3-year warranty! Kudos to Boundlessmacs!!Read full review

i'll be perfectly candid..i HATED Macs of ANY kind until 3-4 years ago. i 1st repaired a 2008 Macbook..i fell in love with it..so i bought my own..that turned into 10 Macs..(i bought 4 Macbook Pros A1278s, i have 3 Macbook 2010s, & i have an A1398)..the A1398 has speed that is scarey..LOL..the one i purchased 3 weeks ago has an i7 2.8Ghz Quad Core processor..now even though the A1398s got rid of the CD/DVD drive, it's still the best..it has an HDMI port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, & 2 Thunderwire (Firewire) ports..it uses a PCI Express SSD drive..(these are drives that LOOK like a RAM stick)..the speed on this computer is so crazy that startup time is like 5 seconds at the most..i got mine for 800 because of no SSD drive (which means no OS)..the OS & a 512GB PCIE SSD drive ran me 300..but i'll say something..IT'S WORTH IT!! (laughing)..you no longer have to worry about what your computer can/can't handle..this is one of the greatest investments ever..if you're into music (like myself)..this is perfect for those modern day programs..i have Autotune/Melodyne in my 2010 Macbook..& i'm putting the identical setup in my 2014 Macbook Pro..the 2010 handles the program decently..but the MBP?? it's a monster..& it's TOTALLY quiet..the ONLY time i THOUGHT i heard a fan is when i was installing Sierra..(i may be crazy)..LOL..but other than that..you can't hear a sound..the speakers on it are pretty good too..(i often use them (laptop speakers) to gauge if a mix is good or not)..i still use my PCs from time to time..but this 2014 MacBook Pro is "The Bee's Knees"..LOL..it also has 16GBs of RAM..ridiculous speed & power..& lightweight too.. Alright..so there you have it..my thoughts on this great computer..i decided to go Mac because ProTools was ORIGINALLY indegenous to ONLY Mac OSs..i don't think i can use a PC anymore after the A1398..it's the greatest MEDIA-oriented computer in the world..Peace..& God bless you & yours.. A-Weapons..South Bronx, NYC.. DISCLAIMER: be sure that you pick out the CORRECT year & the correct model no# when getting SSDs/HDDs..Mac computer are very picky about these..(e.g. MOST A1398s will take a standard SSD/HDD "2.5s"..but the Retinas do NOT..the require PCIE (PCI Express) SSD drives..so be mindful of that when pruchasing these computers..Read full review

AFTER buying a used 2108 MBP which broke in less than a year, I decided on a new/used 2017. Then started reading about the "troubled years" MBP's were made and not to buy them. Although the 2017 had not given me any problems I decide to return it and go with an older, more reliable model. The 2015 MBP, The year before they introduced the touch pad model. I miss the fingerprint log in and how extremely lightweight when compared to our current 2012 and 2015 MBP's, But those are the ONLY things I miss. Loving this new/old computer!! If I could afford a new MBP, I would get the the one that no longer has the touch-bar, as that fact they have brought back more ports than just 4 USB type C and a headphone jack.I do miss not being to put in a CD or DVD. But I'll get over it.

So far so good - only had it a couple of weeks and haven't used it much as I've been working on my desktop mostly but it's a great improvement on my old Macbook that was slowly dying... It's light and the battery life seems to be good. I was thinking of buting a brand new M1 Macbook Pro but realised that I don't need that kind of processing power for what i do (mostly write scripts) so it's ore than capable of dealing with that. A few minor scratches on the casing but those could happen on a brand new item very easily.

The laptop is not distinguishable from brand new. Absolutely a very good value to replace an identical laptop that had a battery swelling problem.
