used this unit to replace one that failed after about five years outside. It's a bit expensive compared to the cost of the original system which included one remote unit but I was able to keep the system operating in service. Seems very accurate in measuring temperature and humidity when I compare to other measuring instruments I have deployed outside.

It was supposed to broadcast on 433 Mhz, but does not. It will not sync with my present instruments. I'm sure it is a good product, but one takes a chance, unless it is matched to the exact system it came from.

This is a replacement for the same sensor that finally stopped working after four or five years. Works just fine. Note: I had to reboot (remove and reinsert batteries) the display unit as well before it could establish a connection with the sensor. Instructions with the sensor replacement don't mention this.

After 10 years my old sensor went kaputt. I bought this as a replacement. I am very happy with the quality and the price was reasonable. Just make sure that the switches on the main unit and on the sensor are set to the same A, B, or C. Then on the back of main unit push the connect switch - you can use a toothpick to do it - and voila, it's done. Easy to do.

These are excellent add-on sensors for an existing AcuRite setup. For these to work you need an Acurite Access (it the older SmartHUB which is almost end-of-life). Very accurate information provided and updated quickly. I have four of these to compliment my weather station. They’re great for monitoring specific rooms (master bedroom, living room, garage) or specific places (attic, gun safe) where you need to monitor humidity to prevent damage from too much or too little humidity (prevent rust on firearms, or prevent wood from drying out). Highly recommended, and a two pack makes it easier and less expensive.

This replaced an older version of the sensor for the AcuRite Temperature Station Model 00612 and worked perfectly right out of the box. For those who might not "read" the directions first, you MUST remove the batteries from the actual Temperature Station device first, then put in the batteries into the sensor, then replace the batteries in the thermometer. You will see a "wireless" icon on the Temperature Station which tells you it is talking to the sensor. It works beautifully and so happy there was no need to buy a new AcuRite Temperature Station.
