I was looking for a new Chromebook and the recertified Acer Chromebook 14 largely met my specifications. After using the laptop for nearly a month, I’m satisfied with my purchase. This Chromebook is the best looking Chromebook you’ll find. I love the all-aluminum design, and wish that the laptop’s performance was worthy of the eye catching design. The 1080p display is sharp and crisp, and the keyboard is average (not backlit). The mousepad is huge and subpar, so I use a wireless mouse which solves that problem. You’ll be hardpressed to find a sub-two hundred dollar Chromebook with these specs, and I wish that Acer included an SD card reader, an ethernet port, a delete key, and a decent soundcard. With the volume turned up it’s very difficult to hear the audio. The Chromebook arrived quickly, and this recertified product looked brand new. It's not perfect but it suits my current needs and I recommend this Chromebook as long as you know the drawbacks and limitations as I described. I’ve ordered other items from Acer recertified in the past, and I won’t hesitate to place more orders in the future.Read full review

Will not load YouTube like all of my other computers do with grace. Why just YouTube? Other sites do load ok. Horrible touch pad. Weakly constructed. LH lever collapsing into chassis along with the pad itself. Plastic Screen ok. Bottom cover screws stripping from their cheap plastic threads. Keyboard ok. I expected much better from ACER. It is light and usable but very flimsy in use. Hopefully usable unti l get a real laptop sometime soon. Meanwhile, I largely rely on my PCs.

I got it to see if I wanted to migrate from Windows to a Chromebook. This unit seems to do everything any Chromebook is capable of and it is quick. The screen is small and the keyboard is awkward (to me) but I've added a monitor and external keyboard / mouse. Now it really is a nice system and a replacement for a windows laptop. The only question is "Do I want to trust all of my personal information in the cloud?". The Acer is just fine.

Follows the MacBook Air design, Responsive touch pad as good as MacAir, Good value, perfect for browsing internet without too much hassle of constant OS upgrade in Windows and Mac. this replaced a dead MacBook Air , and for this price I bought two of these at $250 US each. These are missing illuminated keyboard ,and SD card reader unlike MacAir, It comes with Full HD+ display, 4G RAM, headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.1, two USB 3.0 ports +HDMI and I wish it had a larger SSD than 32GB...

This is a good chromebook but has some properties I don't like. The aluminum frame makes it a lot heavier than my Toshiba 14 with a plastic body. Looks great though. The battery is a bit weak too. I get 6 to 8 hours before having to recharge. Overall a good laptop.

Bought this chromebook with the sole intention of putting Gallium OS on it. I can't vouch for the Chrome OS but I have been loving having this speedy little linux laptop with a super long battery life. Especially at the price you can get it at.

Inexpensive, larger screen, fast processor for internet search. However, 2 USB ports are on left sides only which makes a right handed user who use this chrome book at home a lot with a mouse a bit inconvenient. It feels quite awkward to use mouse connected on left side of the chrome book. If the user does not use a mouse, it is not a big deal. I use this chrome book for the internet safety and security instead of my notebook so this is a big deal to me. Otherwise, I like everything else.

This was my first Chromebook. I really like it. Well-designed and perfect for browsing, which is what I use it for. Very lightweight and has an excellent display.

I couldn’t be happier with the Acer Chromebook. It has a bright screen, fast start up, and long battery life. The audio could stand to be a little louder, but it’s decent.

We just love the lightweight of the Chromebook. It works very smoothly & does what we expected of it. We're very pleased with the price also. Thanks, Benny Johnson
