After carrying a Leatherman Micra for 20 years and losing it (devastating), I looked to Leatherman for a keychain tool replacement. I carry a dedicated pocketknife, so the appeal of the Leatherman Style PS not having a tiny blade that can cause extra drama with rookie security guards is a bonus. Style PS has a tiny pair of scissors as a fold out option and a small plier where the Micra had scissors, this is a much better arrangement of tools because I was always tempted to use the scissors when they were outclassed and now the foldout scissors are a great reminder to use them as they were intended. Remember this is a keychain tool and don't tackle jobs that require job-specific tools, but in a pinch you will be happy to have this arsenal of tools in your pocket everyday. Props to Leatherman for having this TSA Approved; now I can travel with piece of mind, carrying a tool that I use everyday and know how to make it work for me.Read full review

The clip on the Leatherman PS is either poorly designed or I had a defective one. It was clipped to my key ring and has fallen off on it’s own three times in the month that I have owned it. It was clipped to one of the smaller rings seen in the photo. You can see my car key clipped to the larger main ring so how did it come off? 😡 Notice I refer to it in past tense as it apparently fell off again today while I was out running errands and it’s gone. I know it was on my key ring this morning and it seems to come off when I’m grabbing my car key which has it’s own clip that I hook on the same ring. I’m sad and annoyed as these things aren’t cheap and I purchased two more for Christmas gifts.

Great little key chain size multi-tool. Although TSA agents will question whether or not it’s TSA compliant, once they are made aware that it has no sharp blades on it there is usually no problem. I have only had one not approved to pass through security. Point here is not to assume that it will be deemed “safe” to get through airport security check points. Also, had one confiscated in Paris... This tool is perfect for lite use and as a pilot I have found them to be very handy at times.

Was looking for TSA approved multi-tool. This is it. Passed thru check point no problem. I have carried a pocket tool with a knife blade since I was 12. Now 65, This was 1st commercial flight. This made me feel a little under dressed instead of naked, Thanks.
