I recently purchased a pair of Fostex T60RP planar magnetic headphones and really enjoy them. They have a clean, accurate sound that makes music of all genres involving to listen to. In comparison to the T50RP MK3, they have a better defined midrange and treble. However, the T60RP still retains the Fostex house sound of the T50RP MK3 that so many people like. If you want to try a planar magnetic headphone I can safely recommend the T60RP as well as the T50RP MK 3, since in my opinion, they represent the law of diminishing returns in planars. In other words, you can get better sounding planar magnetic headphones, but you are going to pay a lot more for subtle improvements. Highly recommended! 😊

Bought these for home studio monitor / mixing, not disappointed. Excellent sound separation, clear, precise sound, good sound stage, no overbearing frequencies. Four stars because of shortcoming in comfort & convenience, since I find the adjustment system somewhat awkward and hard to stay set, while the 5 ft chord is at least one foot short of convenient for me. Caution: Do not buy the "upgrade" 6' braided cord advertised on Ebay ($32.00). The specs look good, but besides the ultra lightweight construction, they make the T60s sound like you're torturing stray cats. That said, I would definitely recommend the T60s as a good bang for the buck, assuming your headphone amp can satisfy the planar drivers. .
