Came well packed and took some time and patience to set up. I installed and set up the included cartridge properly. Within 30 seconds of playing my first album the sound in the right channel went out. About 10 seconds later there was no sound. The problem was that the diamond stylus tip broke off completely .. Could not even find it. I have contacted the manufacturer three times but they do not answer or address the problem ... I am out of a $900 cartridge! I would not recommend this turntable.

This turntable package in my opinion may well be the very best buy in audio world period! I was a VPI man had a scout and a classic 3 rosewood, and was use to using a unipivot arm that was way more complex in fine tuning so when i got the marantz i was all hung up on how it was not complex a setup, without fine adjustments and pretty much never having to keep readjusting it over and over to maintain the best sound i mean it was just too darn easy, more of a set and forget for dummies kind of thing, but once you gross adjust the arm it just sounds warm and wonderful, deep rich bass and midrange and treble just sounds right on to me, i have had this thing for almost a year and never once even wanted to fiddle with the original arm set up i made right out the box! Just carefully read and follow the set up instructions , this arm does not need super fine calibrations , it cant fine adjust its not made for that, but when you follow the super easy set up adjustment it just sounds wonderful, no need to keep fiddling with it, Clear Audio german engineered this arm and base and damned if they didnt pull it off a super easy set up that sounds wonderful right out the box, just buy this wonder if your looking for a musical source for your records without all the set up nightmare that comes with most tables out thereRead full review
