This plate is hard to find. I use these plates in my conventional oven. I set the oven at 350 for 15 minutes, spray plate with non-stick oil mostly to cook perfect non greasy omelets, but I have cooked other foods with greasy oils. Microwave ovens can't match this method. Plates are oven usable up to 450. Yes , the heat will cause some discoloring. I don't use them for special dining occasions, but are good for everyday eating. I have Nordic bowls that I cook acorn squash halves in, works great. This type of Nordic bowls (cereal bowls) is very hard to find.

I never thought I'd find these plates for sale again. I bought a few several years ago in a local store, but haven't been able to find more until I found them on Ebay. The plates are a made from a strong, rigid plastic that does not soften in the microwave. The sides are angled so that food/gravy stay somewhat contained and are less likely to spill out of the plate, though the deeper sides make the plates narrower across the base than other dinner plates. I use them under Pyrex casserole dishes when I cook vegetables in the microwave, to catch any boiled over liquid, and keep my oven clean. My old plates still look good, no knife marks or discoloration after much use. I hope these new plates perform as well.
