A good quality knife like you'd expect from Swiss Army/Victorinox. Very sharp and shiny blade, a little clunky for opening fast one handed, but easy to do at a slower speed. It's a great knife for all cutting requirements but not a good knife for self-defense, when opening fast is needed for protection. If you just need a knife, THIS is a good one...if you need protection/self defense, buy one that opens fast & easy or a fixed blade. Different knives have different applications...figure out what you need the knife to do, then buy accordingly.

NOT a one-hand opening pocket knife. As everyone who reviews this knife points out, it takes TWO hands to open this stiff knife. And the release for the liner lock is backwards. You have to turn the knife over on its back with the blade up to push the liner lock to the right, then use TWO hands to release and carefully close the stiff action so you don't cut yourself. It's thin and well made with quality materials, but I would recommend almost any other flipper liner-lock knife to carry over this Victorinox Sentinel.
