The knife for hard use. When i first got it. The knife was shaving sharp and had a good finish. Overall this knife would be suited for fighting purposes but it can do other tasks well too.

To me the name COLD STEEL has always meant a well made good and sharp edged tool . so I'm not sure what went wrong with my purchase. Maybe I expected to much from a great company. Don't get me wrong , this was and still is a very sharp blade . good blade length but my issue begins with the handle . its too ...thin . I own steak knife's that have more girth than this . holding this knife makes one wanting more to hold on to. Next is the scabbard .the knife falls out of it from its own weight . that in its self is a liability .a law suit waiting to happen . it won't retain the knife so it will find a new place in my kitchen with the other steak knife's. One star for quick delivery.

This knife is a very nice knife. The blade is sturdy as all can be. Razor sharp out of the package as well! It fits well in the hand and is well balanced. A good straight edge knife. The only con I can think of is the scabbard has no positive locking feature. That would be a nice thing to have. I keep it in my hiking bag, but this would complement any big out kit perfectly. Coldsteel makes a bad a$$ knife!

Putting that tanto style into a bout boot knife just genious. I love cold steel products are always durable and extremely sharpe, learned that real quick when I took my Cold Steel Chaos out of the box. Very bloody situation, but that thing is one heck of a knife too.
