I have built two of the Tiger 2 and two Tiger 1 from Tamiya and these are really excellent models. They're a bit intimidating if you are new to modeling but if you follow the very detailed and precise instructions, you should be ok. Unfortunately, these aren't available from Tamiya (To my knowlege) so you have to find them where you can, as on Ebay. Expect a large box, the size of a traditional suitcase full of parts. Once you open it up and spread the parts out, it will cover a dinner table but don't be afraid. Simply follow each step in the instructions and you'll be fine. I use super glue b/c it's stronger than the glue included with the tank but most other materials are included except for paint, primer and some basic cutting tools for extracting the parts from the part frames. I'd advise you get a nice airbrush kit off Ebay also, they're cheap; under $100 USD for a nice one. Get some primer and some other basic tools to begin. If you're not sure how the finished product works, go to YouTube and serach for Tamiya 56018 to view the tank in action. It's pretty neat, even has recorded sounds of a real diesel tank and a flashing turret when you fire.Read full review

This is my second Tamiya full option RC tank kit. I am amazed at the quality and engineering of these wonderful kits. Fun to build, and fun to operate when finished.

Good quality product easy to assemble onto the tank. Good grip on the ground.

The flimsy mud flaps which come on a Tamiya Tiger 56018 are not worth the time or effort because if you back into anything, they break in an instant. These metal ones are a great substitute.
