Comfy grip, silly lock on set up
These grips are comfortable and stay in place when locked down. The material offers a good grip bare handed or with gloves. The one draw back is the lock on set up. First it requires 2 wrenches (a 3mm & 4mm Allen keys) used simultaneously. With the brake, shifter, dropper or suspension remote plus the grip all occupying space within a few inches of each other, it can be a PITA to get a wrench on the bolt and /or nut side and then have enough space to turn either of the wrenches. The nut side requires the 4mm and as the 3mm bolt threads into the nut is begins displacing the 4mm out of the socket head, and, it seemed to me, space runs out to hold the nut before adequate torque is reached. There are 2 fasteners per grip (inside and outside) and I've had perfectly functioning lock on grips with just the one inside fastener, so the redundancy of this less than ideal fastener system isn't necessary. The outside fastener does nothing to hold the end cap in place. The end cap is the older interference fit plastic "plug" that are prone to loss.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
