I purchased this specific tripod for use with the Canon R coupled with the Sigma 150-600mm telephoto lens. Here are my findings. - this is a very sturdy tripod that virtually eliminates tripod vibration and movement. - the head is viscous damped in all planes and provides very smooth panning and control. - this tripod is pretty tall when fully extended requiring me to partially extend it which is not a problem. It adds versatility. - The tripod is too heavy to hike with but just fine for driving to a photo destination. The added stability is worth it if you are using a very large, long lens.
