It's refreshing to come across a simple wardrobe staple which is both quality and inexpensive. The Columbia brand nails it with this belt. Utilitarian and simple, but built to last with high quality materials, this will quickly become your go-to choice when the style is appropriate. Speaking of when to wear these- of course they are great for any number of action packed outdoors funtivities, but I think they are also fine with casual wear as well. The downside is they are only available in a few colors; khaki, olive, and black. These come in one size (42 is about the max waist if I recall correctly) and are easily downsized if needed by trimming at the buckle side. It's really a self-explanatory process when you have the buckle in hand. If you haven't worn this style of belt before and are wondering what's the fuss, it's that they are infinitely adjustable.Read full review

I love the belt but wouldn't have bought it if the description had said it was only 36" s. I am well past that length and have multiple buckles so that was the most important part to me. If it is made to cut to size why make it less than 60"? Just seems they ruined a good product by being cheap!

It's a bit clunky, takes some practice to get it to work easily, but when you master it, it works just as I had hoped for. I wanted a belt that puts performance above style, and unless you're into military dress, this one is definitely not about style. Basically I wanted a belt that I can easily adjust to any setting I want, without being limited to a hole in the belt every two inches or so. This one does exactly that, so I'm happy. Happy is good.

I've had a number of web belts over the years. This Columbia is in a league of its own. It's far tougher webbing material and the buckle is heavy duty yet easy to open and close. It makes me want to dump my other web belts and get more like this.

This belt is rugged and material selection really is superb. The only downside, and it is the nature of the design, is that you will have to re-tighten periodically if you are very active or have heavy attachments clipped to the belt such as a radio.
