I love this scale and the app. It may be dated by current technological standards, but this works well and I found a new hobby in making drinks. I recommend using a tablet for this -- if you have a newer tablet that doesn't have an auxiliary/headphone input slot, you probably need to buy an adapter like I had to. Not a problem once you find one that works with your tablet (Samsung to Samsung, Apples to Apples). I did have one issue that almost gave me a scare, but figured it out. Apparently the scale doesn't like having a phone very close to it... especially a phone on data only (I lost Wifi connection). The scale went bonkers and the weight readings were all over the place into the negatives when my phone was close by, did not expect that. After figuring it out, it worked normally again and I was relieved. The app works pretty well since it's 'dated', and the catalog of drinks is extensive! The directions on making drinks using the scale work very well, so it's straightforward making a Whiskey Sour or a Mojito. You can get creative and add in recipes from online or ones you make up yourself -- edit them anytime. The app also has a shopping list feature, which is great for keeping track of what you need to make certain drinks. Overall, this was worth the buy late in the game -- I first wanted this in 2016 around when this came out. I'm the family bartender now, and absolutely recommend. Three wonderful updated apps make this a wonderful kitchen tool. Look for Perfect Drink, Perfect Bake and Perfect Blend apps. Instead of multiple measuring spoons and cups, just put your shaker, bowl or blender cup on the scale and pour in your ingredients. Hundreds of wonderful recipes included in the apps or it is possible to add your own recipes (this is a bit difficult at first, but just takes practice). This scale can also be used without the apps as a standard kitchen scale. A great buy.
