This 28 mm speaker is a perfect drop in to Kato diesels with cast in enclosure in fuel tank. Solder wires to + and - connect to decoder and your ready to go. Soundtraxx replacement board for Katos have a plug at the board and 2 wires for the speaker . Complete change out took 10 minutes on a Kato SD 38.

Remove the rear weight in the Genset lovomotive, use a couple of screw you took out of the interface board, attach wire, make a small baffle, put all of this together and reinstall. Sounds good.
