Does the job with some limitations
This bobbin winder is a good price point. Much less costly than having the the bobbin winder sensor repaired on a computerized sewing machine. It winds bobbins quickly, almost too quickly to adjust the evenness of the thread on the bobbin. Even on sewing machine integrated bobbin winders, there can be uneven winding, which can be remedied with just a little manual guiding of the thread. I am happy I found this.

I love the bobbin winder!
When these came on the market I said "I don't need that"! However, I since have a machine that does not have a working bobbin winder. I would have to plug in another sewing machine, wind my bobbin and then return to sewing on the first machine. The bobbin winder, specially with battery power, is much more convenient.

Speedy!
I don't know how I lived without it! So small that it doesn't take up much room at my sewing station yet winds those bobbins at lightning speed! Even when the bobbin winder on my sewing machine still worked well, it never had the speed of The Side Winder! I recommend every serious sewer should have a Side Winder.

Electric and battery operated
I bought this winder because it is both electric and battery operated. I am sure the electric style won't leave me hanging and this is the only one I could find. Also battery operated if you are not able to get to a plug. Mine works really well and I bought it because my one sewing machine doesn't wind bobbins at the moment. Also handy to wind a bobbin and not having to tear down your threading on your machine. I feel it is a time saver. It is a bit light weight plastic box and I do hope it holds up in the long run.

Sidewinder Portable Bobbin Winder - Great!
My new brother sewing machine could no longer be used to rewind the bobbin thread because the thread holder pin broke off. So this product allows me to rewind my bobbins.
