Ok, let me say for the price it would be impossible to beat this mouse/keyboard package. It arrived quickly, the box reflected the "refurbished" condition, which I couldn’t tell from any thing else. The keyboard and mouse look brand new, the box not so much ;-) I purchased this to use on a Raspberry Pi 3 running Raspbian which is where the loss of one star is. Linux doesn’t like the unified receiver very much. There is a program called "Solaar" which didn’t work at all! I finally found a C program which you compile on the machine you'll be using this setup on that did allow pairing. It's called " unifying_pair.c " and can be found on gethub or Google. Just compile it and run the resulting program. All in all a great deal for your $20.00.

The keyboard is sticky and will slow down your typing. Reliable range is only 3' which begs the question why one wouldn't just get wired versions that never have trouble. I ended up trading this set with my work keyboard and mouse, same brand, but with about 5' of Bluetooth range. I really need a longer range unit that wont slow me down.

This pair came in a single box. There was a red bag taped inside with the USB antennae. I was concerned that there was an empty slot in the mouse and the bottom of the keyboard, but these are just possible storage slots for the USB antennae. The unit almost installed itself. I plugged in the USB dongle and Windows 7 installed the driver. Make sure you have AA batteries installed in each unit and be sure to switch them "on". I use mine across the room on a big screen too. It is so nice to be free of the wires and you will free up an additional USB port. I wound up purchasing 2 sets.
