Good well made and half inch thick so no warping should occur in normal use. It is textured on both sides. It matches a 36X24 inch cutting board EXACTLY in texture even with small difference is the corners are not as wide. This is fine. I was going to use this one as a true cutting board for on top of the large one to prevent damage to the larger one that actually is set and screwed in place to cover a not used range top in RV. However I cut 9 inches off the large board and now have a 9x24" board that for now will be the actual cutting board to protect it. And this 12 x 18 I have two options for. As a cover for the double sink one side in RV or useful in craft and sewing room for actual die cutting and hand cutting fabric and paper out. First of all, this cutting board is made of good quality material. The issues I find are the following: When cutting juicy vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, and avocados will leave the cutting board slightly wet and must be dried before starting another project. The other issue I found was that this cutting board can leave a stain on the surface if it is not immediately washed off. Fruits such as blueberries, cran-berries and blackberries will leave a stain on the cutting board. So I would advise the user to take steps to prevent any stain if you want the cutting board to remain stain-free. Otherwise, this cutting board is essentially a great product that will endure for a long time.
