You get what you pay for.
This sandbox has no lockable lid so you have to put something heavy on it to keep animals, bugs and the wind from taking the top off. The lid is very flimsy and the tub itself is thin also but durable enough, 2 children can play in it but its tight, more suitable for 1 child, takes 4-5 50 lb. sacks of sand saying all that it should last several years if not abused.

Disappointed
I'm a grandmother now, but when my children were little I bought a Little Tikes Turtle. It was much better quality then, than now. It's light and cheap and smaller. I was disappointed but my grandson loves it, so that's what counts. I felt sad, it's just like everything else. Sorry Little Tikes, I knew you when quality was the most important thing.

I did so online thinking they would be the same that I had purchased years ago. So disappointed overall in the construction! If my son hadn't come and gotten it while I wasn't home I would have returned it and went shopping for a vintage one.

This cute little turtle sandbox is perfect for small children to play in, it is light weight yet very durable. The front leg/ seat areas are a good idea, an improvement over the previous version. The seats give children a place to sit and play without having to sit directly in the sand. The shell/top helps to keep the sand clean and dry when not in use. My children had one when they were growing up, they loved it so much that I had to buy one for my grandchildren. I recommend this product without reservation. Thanks Little Tikes

I wish it was a little larger, but definitely big enough for my granddaughter. I also wish the lid latched but, I fastened a couple bungee cords to it, and that seems to work. For the price it's a nice sand box.
