Good pen, looks nice, handy, but horrible design for tactical use.
Looks good, writes good, stylist is nice, made well! For use as a less than lethal tactical device it is useless. When clipped in pocket and carried, the rubber end is down the pointed end is up. If you grab the pen instinctively and grasp pen instinctively, the rubber end is the striking end the sharpened end is what you thumb is pressing against. In a situation where you have time to deploy pen, turn it around and use the pointed end it may work well. But in a situation where you are trying to respond quickly, manipulation of the pen so the pointed end is used against the attacker is going to take dexterity and time, two things that rapidly vanish in a critical situation. If you are looking for a well made, nice looking functional pen with a stylist than this is the one. If you are looking for all of the previously mentioned things plus a useful LTL tactical device, than S&W 's other pens are a better choice, in my opinion.Read full review
