Ok, if all you need is an EQ, this is fine, works great, easy to adjust, sounds terrific. OTOH, if you want an EQ that mounts in a standard USA 19" rack, look elsewhere. The chassis is taller than a standard 1U piece (yes, withOUT the feet, duh). Also, the screw holes on the rack ears do not align with the standard hole pattern of US 19" racks. And since I'm here, I gotta say something about adding utterly pointless frills to the display. Note the pics I included in this review. They are of the audio bargraph display. The 2nd pic is a close-up of the left side. Note the four "ms" values, and the SRS logo. No part of that is applicable to this model of EMB's EQ. They serve no purpose, and should either be off, or not even on the display. It just cheapens the look and makes it seem gimmicky to me. Thanks for reading!Read full review

I have been involved with stereo equipment for around 45 year now, and had many different pieces of equipment by different manufacutrers. I have 2 set of speakers that when new cost 15 hundred a set. I have a medium amp that's 100 RMS per channel. I was running a parametric EQ, but wasn't happy with the sound, so I thought I would take a chance on a cheap EQ to see if it was the EQ, or the amp.It turns out that the capacitors on my parametric are old, and not functioning. So I bought this one for 60 dollars. Great EQ for the money. The slides aren't smooth when movingthem up, and down, and the meters are just for show, and don't reflect any kind of balance setting, but having said that the unit sounds great. The lower HZ settings really bring out the bass, and the higher HZ settings are chystal clear. In my opinion 60 dollars is a very fair price for the sound you get.Read full review

IT WORKS GOOD AS AN EQ BUT IS VERY TOUCHY OVERALL AND WITH NO LIT UP FRONT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE NUMBERS ON THE SLIDERS WITHOUT A FLASH LIGHT. HEY ITS A $50.00 EQ IT IS GOOD IF YOU BUDGET MINDED. AND USING IN ON A RECEIVER AS A PRE AMP DEVICE BETWEEN THE IN AND OUT ON THE DEVICE DOES NOT WORK TO WELL . IF YOU PLUG IN A LINE LEVEL FROM A TV OR COMPUTER THEN INTO YOU RECEIVER IT DOES BETTER IT WORKS PRETTY GOOD .

The right volume pot is intermittent - I'll have to clean it -(hope that's all it needs!) How does a volume button become intermittent on a new unit?
