Now that you can cut vinyl without using cutting mat, it is the most user friendly machine on the market. You can still use cutting mat to use up small pieces of left over material and that saves you money that other cutters can't do. This is my third Cricut and I don't even use my Sign Warehouse units anymore.

I purchased it as a gift for my sister who is a school teacher in PR. Teachers that work in the private sector are not provided w/the necessary materials to enhance visual aspects of their classrooms ie, incentives, decor, bulletin boards etc… Sadly, teachers there make peanuts. The machine was put to work right away and works great. Just to see her cry when she opened the box was a joy but more so was all the stuff she has made with it for the students/classroom is heartwarming. PS thanks for the great packaging.
