Excellent Bible
If you want footnotes in your bible, do not buy this one. If you want a beautiful King James Bible with beautiful illustrations, buy this one. The illustrations in this Bible are great and seem to add so much character to the Bible. Also, the front cover truly does look as good as it does in the pictures. This is a beautiful Bible with one of the best translations you can read. Be warned though, the translation is rather dated, so there are some words that are hard to understand or phrases that do not sound normal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beautiful inexpensive Bible
This is an excellent inexpensive Holy Bible, in a beautifully decorated binding. The Gustave Doe engravings are reduced to simple black and white illustrations and appear lackluster, but are nice illustrations for a Bible priced at $29.95. The pages are thin and so care should be taken. even so we purchased several copies of this Bible for gifts. Looks gorgeous on the shelf at a fraction of the cost of a large size family Bible and much easier to handle as far as weight and dimensions. Lightly used thus far (cannot speak for it's ability to take punishment of heavy use as most bibles should) but this bible seems too good to be true! I found the pages to be not thin (as i seen a few post) they are gauged to read, not thin or cheap. it will absolutely stand out on a table or book shelf. the font is clear and understandable. I didn't mind color in the pictorials because I bought this for the fact its a Beautiful "Bible". For me pictorials dont need to be there, they are already in my mind as I see them as I read. Hands down a great well made, readable, sturdy and Beautiful Bible of both Old and new Testaments. I will Be buying another. I shouldn't have to sell it with my words, this book here, its even better than the photos and when you have it in your hands and start reading. you have made a great purchase.
