I have only used it once and was pleased. I also purchased the slow smoker to use with it. I am curing some bacon to slow smoke this weekend.I don’t have a internal probe and not too worried about it because I heard it isn’t that accurate and I already have a digital thermometer to use so not a problem. I will try to write a new review after that.

Instructions said you can not program temperature higher than 275 so that is what i set it on but it went all the way up to 290. Have used the smoker once since then and it kept the temperature within 10 degrees either way of the temperature that I had set. Sides of the smoker get really hot and you would get burned if you touched it for more than one second. Which means it is not insulated very well.

This smoker is perfect. Had to laugh one review said it gets hot so must not be insulated. Not supposed to be insulated anyway. Works just like it should. It does take a little while to get the inside flavored with a great smoked seasoning. Great size to smoke 2 to 3 meals worth of meat at once !
