Well, the idea seemed great. I thought it would be wonderful for my embroidery and craft projects. However these glasses are sized for a 5 year old! They might fit a five or six year old! They are flimsy, and even at an adult size, these would be inadequate! The light did not work either unless you worked with these glasses. A total waste of my money!
Originally they worked well. They seemed to be well built and comfortable to wear. The magnification was a little weak for my eyes so use for reading normal size fonts was a great help. I would not recommend for small detailed tasks like threading a needle. These glasses cannot be used with regular glasses for adults. Maybe for a grade school aged child it should work with their glasses but definitely not an adult.
I liked the illumination and found it handy on my night stand. At first everything was fine.... until the third time I had to charge them. It would not take a charge. The light faintly glowed while the charge indicator showed it was fully charged. Checking up online reviews another reviewer reported that one of the lights would turn off intermittently.
All in all the design appears to be pretty decent with perhaps the power switch could be less intrusive eliminating accidental turning on the light when putting them on. The manufacturing quality is evidenced to be quite sloppy. I find it inexcusable for paying $20 and having these kinds of issues cropping up. Made in China. Maybe we should make them here as the manufacturing cost for this item would be comparable with automated processing.Read full review
Just could not make them work for me; very disappointed.
The product is very narrow would maybe fit a baby’s head. I had to force the glasses onto my head even after adjusting the temples to a breaking point. They put enormous pressure onto the side of my head. Then it was like looking out of a rainy window. I never got to see the object clear no matter how I positioned the glasses or the object. I was a shot into the dark.
Since they came from China, took forever of course, but when finally receiving them the box was crushed and the glasses were out of the box and lenses all scratched, the lights were flickering as if battery was going out. I bought them for my knitting, but it doesn’t seem to me to do much better than my own glasses. And if you don’t hit the right spot for magnifying it’s really blurry.
