HKS Revolver Speedloader 5 Round .44 Special Charter Arms, Rossi, Taurus
This HKS Speedloader is designed for the 5-shot .44 special revolvers. Works great. Holds cartridges securely and allows for a much quicker reload than speed-strips or loading one round at a time. I use mine with a Charter Arms Bulldog .44. It should work as easily with a Rossi or Taurus .44 revolver. I've had a Charter Arms 2000 stainless Bulldog 44sp as my CCW for about 8 years now. I decided to try a speed loader, and Only $12, so why not? Well, here is why: The shells fit very very loosely, so they rattle while you walk. When loading it into the revolver, you have to shake to get them to line up. The factory grips pinch the loader, so you can only get it in half way in and hope gravity takes care of the rest. For a left hand person, the twist release is awkward. In the end, I'm keeping it. While not much faster then loading by hand, it does allow me to keep five rounds neatly next to it in the safe. I'll try a 5 star or safariland some other time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Handy Speed-loaders when carrying a wheel-gun.
Having speed-loaders helps. I use these CA-44 for both my Taurus M445 and my Judge. The CA-44 will securely hold 44 Special, 45 LC and .410 rounds. I load my Judge with 410's first and keep a couple of speed-loaders with 45LC handy. They take up a lot less space and the shorter case length allows for faster reloads vs the longer wobbly 410's. And by that time I might need the extra oomph of a big hunk of lead. This is just Theory. Thank God I've never had to try this, but, with practice, knowing it's possible provides some peace-of-mind.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

the best option for carrying reloads for your revolver.
i use hks ca-44 speed loaders with my charter arms bulldog 44 special. the factory grips were a little thick for the loaders to work properly so you can either shave a little rubber off to get clearance or do what i did and order the undercover rubber grips from charter arms, they work great with my speed loaders and make concealed carry much easier without printing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good speedloader for the charter Pug
I use the Charter Arms Bulldog Pug as a backpacking gun since it is so light but powerful. Wanted a way to hold extra ammo conveniently and figured this was the ticket. Typical HKS quality, works as intended. As another reviewer stated the grips on the Bulldog Pug do get in the way but that is because of the swell of the grips, I do believe there is no way around that. You have to angle the speedloader a bit to get the rounds started, then release the cartridges, they should fall into the chambers.
