My Casio WVA-M630D-7A2JF arrived today. Having been searching for an Atomic Solar watch I decided to order this particular model, I also downloaded the English instruction manual (model 5161) as I already knew the manual that comes with the watch is in Japanese. I chose this version as I wanted a metal case and strap, the M640's have a rubber type back which the strap is fixed to, with a stainless steel back plate, and therefore are not all metal however the movement inside is near enough identical, also I preferred the watch face on this version. The photo's do not do the watch justice, it looks far better than the photos suggest. On unpacking, the watch having been subjected to daylight automatically moved the hands to it's preset Home City. I entered adjustment mode and set the Home City to London and the display to English, the watch hands move to my local time, an hour short as it hadn't picked up on DST, one manual receive corrected the time on the watch. The battery status showed mid charge as is normal for Casio solar watches just taken out of the box and as far as I can see everything is working perfectly. The watch is very light and slim compared to many other watches. The watch strap has a sliding adjustment for wrist size, the links are not removed making the strap a bit bulky under the wrist but I suspect this will not be an issue when wearing the watch. My current Seiko Watch is a mechanical autowind without a perpetual calender so annoyingly has to be altered on months with less than 31 days, also the Seiko gains approximately one to two minutes a day, so I'm looking forward to having to make absolutely no adjustment what so ever to the Casio watch thanks to its Atomic timekeeping and not having to worry about batteries as I have done in the past with previous Quartz movement watches. As far as I'm aware these Casio WVA-M630D-7A2JF watches were made for the Japanese market and are not directly available in the UK, which is a shame as these are really nice watches.Read full review

The RC feature is what I have want in a watch for for decades,. It works as described, but requires some training to change info. eg;. time zone, language date and correct seconds. The help number of Casio is a marvel, good CSR help with quick and helpful directions on how to set features. I now own 2 of these marvelous watches, one is white the other is black. I own dozens of other expensive watches but these 2 are th e always exactly on time and the others are not.

There are a ton of watches that are expensive and advertise their accuracy.. Some are more like male jewelry.. and have a price to go with it. Thousands of dollars and names like Rolex and descriptions like " chronograph " I have been using Casio " wave ceptor" watches for years.. because they reset to the accurate time .. several times per day... Most of the digital versions are less expensive but still have the accuracy and cost somewhere under $50.. This particular has both digital and analogue and recharges itself when in the light.. All things considered... I love this watch.. and I would not hesitate to order another one ... if and when this one ages itself out of service.

very pretty watch, Casio are superb at producing these at a much cheaper price than any other manufacturer. This one has radio control and solar charging. Only negative is the fact that the instructions with it are in Japanese. This is because the watch is only aimed at the Japanese market. However, there is a very good video on YouTube on this model explaining how to control it.

It came with a Japanese manual, downloaded the English manual. The watch has too many functions, it took a while to set it up. The time is accurately synchronized. The strap can be adjusted without removing any parts. Easy to read display both analog and digital.
