From T3i to G7, this is a must grab!

The transition from DSLR to this MFT was pretty easy. I'm using this for video purposes and it only took me a few youtube videos to get the hang of those features. The 4k,built in wifi and custom button remapping are a huge plus in my book. With the kit lens this camera is great but has much more potential to be even better with new glass and adapters. AND you can use your phone as a monitor/controller via wifi and there's an electronic view finder to see what you're capturing on sunny days when it's hard to see the monitor!(Picture attached of live view finder) The swivel screen is touch screen and the camera is very light and small enough to be held in one hand easily. For a budget 4k camera, I highly recommend it!

    Good But Not Great

I wanted 4K video so that's why I bought this camera. It has some nice features and settings. If you can get by without 4K the Canon Rebels will shoot 1080p and are a much better camera in my opinion. I've compared video and stills side by side with my Canon T3i and the Canon comes out on top. The Panasonic is nice and light so it's better for one-handed gimbal rigs like the Beholder DS 1. I'm happy with it but still double shoot everything to play it safe.

  • It's all I hoped it would be

This camera has it all...I especially love the wireless capability. It really shines in video mode which is where I normally use it. Features you may like include: timed photos, video monitoring of your home, time-lapse photography and automatic switch mode between monitor and viewfinder based on your eye's position. Although the included 14-42 lens is great, I upgraded this week to a Panasonic Lumix 14-140 with on board image stabilization. This camera is now complete based on the way I want to use it....YouTube how-to videos. I have the close up capabilities and stabilization in case I go hand-held. You'll love the quick auto-focus response.

  • Worth The Money

Amazing camera all in all. I was skeptical about the MFT platform at first. But, after much research and time with the camera ive come to love it. Glass for this platform is fairly cheap as well making it a choice for some budget oriented hobbyist that still want amazing quality. The camera has great features such as r 4k photo mode, 5 axis-stabilization and silent shooting with increased ISO ranges for those extremely dark shots (generally you just use lighting instead of using those ranges due to noise being present). So if you are looking to invest in this camera as a beginner i would highly recommend it. I came from shooting on a Sony A35 and old minolta glass, which only shares the EVF feature with the G7. Take the first step towards an adventure and buy the G7!

  • Awesome upgrade!!!

First camera was a canon .. but this takes the cake .. I still have a lot of getting used to it’s corks and features ..although hands on for the first 30mins ..I can tell you it’s a win .. and it’s a lot cooler in terms of design, despite it been a Mirrorless camera, and the small sensor

  • From DSLRC to a mirorless camera

The Panasonic Lumix Mirorless Camera G7 demands time to figure out how to use the camera. I have been using a reflex camera for almost 40 years. It is quite a change and it takes time to understand. Though that will be a rewarding job: the result is awesome. The quality of both photo's and videos are amazing. The camera is very light. Having the camera in my hand I am convinced that it is good idea to change from reflex to mirorless.

  • A compact powerhouse!

I bought this camera for a couple of reasons: One was to be able to share lenses with my BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and use as my b-roll camera. The other was to have a good camera for photos. It fulfills both those functions admirably. The included 14-42mm kit lens gives excellent images and the addition of larger aperture lenses (25mm f1.4 and 15mm f1.7) allow beautiful portraiture and landscapes. Where it really shines for me though is video. With the kit lens I get excellent 4k video. With faster lenses I get amazing footage. In conjunction with the BMPCC4K I have all I need for interviews and performance recording.

  • Great light camera

This camera does exactly what I hoped. It’s much smaller and lighter than my old DSLR and the pictures are terrific. I also love the WiFi feature which makes it easy to share photos. Very pleased.

  • This camera should not be under the radar. It's a terrific lightweight shooter.

I had to dig past the title to insure this was the one I researched. It performs fast, it's light, it has enough controls for me to do anything I want with it, and it shoots extremely good photos. The battery also hangs in there for quite awhile, too. I am thoroughly impressed.
