The pen works very well. But Microsoft designed this pen to be easily dropped, and weighted so that it falls on its tip, which is extremely friable and easy to break. It does this frequently, requiring a moderate expense to replace the very inexpensive plastic tip IF it can be removed, and 4 times I and my colleague have dropped it in such a manner that the tip broke off, and there was no way to extract it. A new pen had to be purchased to continue use of the computer with a pen. The older surface pens unscrewed at the tip to allow easy removal of a broken tip, that "luxury" has been removed, so if it drops and breaks, you have to buy a new pen. Also, they designed the pen purposely to not allow any tethering device attachments, so there is no way to tether it to the computer for when it does drop. THIS IS ABSURD, and I can't believe Microsoft has been able to get away with this, it was obviously very well thought out, and has created much frustration with me and my colleagues.Read full review
