Good Price for a laptop with some flaws
I expected a "B" grade laptop for the price, which is what I received. I was not surprised in the condition, but was perplexed the used hard drive was failing with read/write failures and it performed poorly (which an i7 with 16 GB's of ram should not do). I ended up installing a SSD with a fresh load and the machine rocks! I should mention I bought a 17" 8760w brand new 3 years ago, so I know there machines well and the value. Powerful Laptop
With the hyper-thread quad core and the 2GB vVRAM Nvidia, there isn't much this laptop can't plow through. The 1080 display is beautiful. If you are doing any kind of graphics or games, this is the perfect tool. If you can find a good condition used one of these, it will be a better deal than any new laptop at the same price. It will outperform most consumer laptops out today (12-2015) and last longer since it's a military spec laptop. If you do get it, make sure you get the i7 2820QM - or any CPU with the Q designation (Quad-Core) and minimum 8GB of RAM. Also make sure to replace the main drive with a SSD drive. There are lesser CPUs with the M designation are found in this and other older laptops like the Dell e6520 or HP 8560p, and those models would be a better overall package since they are lighter yet still have very good business class performance. I would not get the M CPU in this laptop. The 8560W is geared for the workstation class so you do give up some portability for top notch performance - make sure it's the highest spec possible if you buy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Robust computing in a sturdy package
Laptop shell is spectacular! High quality aluminum and heavy plastic provide solid protection. Laptop is not light, but I prefer heft to something that would snap if I bumped it. Also, battery doesn't have a very long life (about 3 hours), but it lasts long enough. Screen has superb resolution and bright colors. Keys feel very solid. Multiple peripheral connections are surrounded by metal for solid connections. This edition didn't come with a DVD drive, but there is a spot to install one. Great Laptop, a true work station.
Needed a new one so this laptop functions perfectly fine once first startup, and all buttons/ports/webcam work. The display has great quality. But the battery doesn't last too long on its own when it comes down to constant moderate/high usage with a couple clear visible scratches but I just care more about performance then pretty looks, while its exceptable in power and performance actually using the laptop in your lap will be mostly impossible because of the build up of heat that it produces over a short period of time will be an extreme discomfort but nothing a cooling pad can't solve which is what I use besides a desk is what its operating on anyway for me which is best.
