Asus as good as expected
This laptop arrived as expected and I was able to transfer apps and data from my prior computer with only a few hiccups. It is working well so far and is quite a bit faster than my old machine. Display is terrific and much better than my auxiliary monitor (may have to upgrade it now) Only a few comments on things that were not expected. 1. The red letters on the keyboard were unexpected and seeing that I am not as good of a touch typist as I should be, it does cause me to hunt around for some of the lesser used characters. 2. The connection for the auxiliary monitor required a new cable. No 15 pin port available. Easily solved with a HDMI to DVI adaptor cable which plugged in and worked right away. 3. The only negative is the "Page Down" key is right next to the power switch and this has caused me to power off unexpectedly a few times. Could have place the power key in somewhat better place. 4. One minor thing is there is no "Home" key Going on the road next month and will see how that works.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Flawless and no hiccups
This laptop has been super awesome. I've downloaded a few games from Steam and have played with no issues. As a photographer, I also use Photoshop, and this laptop has been good for that as well. No hiccups, no crashes. My old laptop crashed if I used certain things in Photoshop, and I couldn't game at all. The light up keyboard has been helpful for late night YouTube marathons as well haha. I am very happy with this product.

Great buy for the average power user
This laptop is great for the normal power user, whether it's gaming, schoolwork, crunching numbers at work, watching Netflix, or browsing the web with many tabs open... whatever, this will handle it! It's fairly lightweight (only about 5 1/2 lbs!) and has and excellent HD screen. The only caveat I have found is the standard battery. The battery has a decent life for a 48 Whr capacity (approx 4 hrs for avg usage), but that's an easy fix by buying a larger capacity battery for those who need more battery time. Live streaming is great with it's 1.2 MP HD camera. The sound output is high quality with separate mic-in and headphone-out ports which is great for those who love to record sound while listening to what going on. The hard drive is a speedy 7200 rpm, plus has a port to add an ultra fast SSD drive. There are plenty of USB ports including the latest generation, USB 3.1, which has transfer rates up to 10 Gbps! Powerful specs with great keyboard

Everything I had hoped for and more!
Everything was as described. Item arrived in other than original packaging which I'm not a fan of but was made aware of the possibility before buying. I've been a huge PS and Xbox fan most my life and finally decided to get into the pc realm. What a nice transition. Definitely recommend a nice mouse for gaming and browsing. I personally got a Logitech g602 and it's beyond amazing. Definitely recommend x10. If you're on the fence, look no further. Pretty badass.
