The device is good for the cost. You do have to add a USB hub and a blue tooth transmitter obviously because of the stick's size, it doesn't have a lot to work with. So far, it hasn't manifested any heat related problems, as the earlier models have. Still early in the testing phase and we haven't had it powered up for hours at a time. I would recommend it. We use it to browse for internet videos as Roku only has YouTube for the most part, unless you e=want to pay extra. Nice addition to the entertainment environment.

Cost stated here is just the beginning. Then you'll need more memory to load portable software. Also you'll need a powered USB hub, wireless KB and mouse. Bluetooth KB will not auto connect but cannot be paired without a USB or wireless KB so that's crippling. Web surfing incredibly slow and frustrating. Forget videos. Mine has strong Wifi connection, so that's not the problem. The Wifi router is right next to it. Junk.

gives me a 55" screen, full HD video and sound!! (when hooked to my tv). Its slow, video's stutter, and it keeps dropping its internet connection.

When I first put it into service, it kept crashing. I found out that the TV USB port was not providing sufficient power for it. I then powered it with the included wall adapter, and it has worked great since. The digital signage provider advised against using anything with an Atom processor for their system. This Compute Stick uses a previous generation Atom processor, but it still works fine. Occasionally a frame will hesitate, but it is barely noticeable.

For the same amount of money, you could purchase a small tablet that functions better and quicker. It may be their POOR choice of placing Windows 10 on it, or its sh$??y browser, but even connecting at "N" wireless is essentially useless. Perhaps it is the choice of Intel processor or a combination of it all. Web pages are agonizingly slow to load - slightly better with Firefox - but even small YouTube videos cannot successfully be viewed. As stated in first sentence, a $79 no-name tablet is a better purchase.

This does what it says it does. Gives you another dimension of computing, works good on the wireless net and the bluetooth works fine. For some reason it only sees the 2.4 ghz network, does not see my 5 ghz network. That being said its only hooking up to my G network, not the N. Haven't looked into why yet. Windows 10 works fine. If you need an inexpensive computer I would highly recommend this product.

I bought this item to see how it would compare with my laptop since i stream a lot of video. It streams great my laptop is just gathering dust because I'm able to get a lot of functionality out of the pc stick now that I installed Office. I'm also able to do my timecards with silverlight for work because its a full windows pc.

I have a Plex media server running. It ran through my desktop and fed all of my Roku devices. When I had to reboot or wanted to reinstall, it was a problem if anybody else was watching something on Plex. So I got this to see if I could run Plex on it just to get the serverr off of my desktop. I'm a linux user, so I had to overwrite the Windows was on it. For safety I backed it up, then installed a version of linux made just for this device. Moved my Plex server to it and I barely ever even have to look at it now! There are updates often, but about once a month I go do them. Otherwise I don't touch this. And it runs along fine without ever giving me the slightest trouble! There's zero noise from it, and it's small enough that I tied it to a leg of a shelf where it's out of the way. Absolutely a great deal!Read full review

I am thoroughly impressed by the intel compute stick (2016 model). So far it has performed as fast as my other computers. (some of which are high-end rigs) It does make some noise when processing, however its quieter than most PCs
