I needed a new controller to play Super Smash Bros. Melee. Unfortunately new controllers skyrocketed in price and are simply not worth it. Here comes this controller into play. Image wise it’s perfect condition. Control stick rubber is essentially brand new and everything else is looking great. I can’t give this a 5 Star because the control stick itself is somewhat noticeably loose and replacing that mechanism is slightly tricky. Also the left trigger does not click as a normal one should. Regardless I consider it fully playable condition, and there’s nothing really holding it back from competitive play use. It looks like a brand new controller and underneath its has a bit of mileage. Overall I’m satisfied and got fair value.

Got a pair. One had a faulty y-button, which makes it mostly unusable. The other worked fine. The R-triggers in both weren't so "clicky" but that's probably due to use. A bit overpriced considering one controller didn't work properly

I bought the smash controller to replace my aging original GameCube controller that came with the system. It came without any noticeable manufacturing defects, and the build quality is good. Neither of the control sticks had any noticeable play in them, however the Start, A, B, Y, and X buttons were less tactile and "snappy" that the ones on my heavily used original controller (although still usable without being annoying). I've also noticed it develop a strange (but minor) issue with the main analog stick where it "bumps" when slowly moving it off center downward. It's difficult to describe, but not too noticeable when gaming, and its an issue I encountered on original controllers as well. For lack of a decent competitor, I suppose its a decent value, but I still don't feel like the price matches the product. It's especially bad when you consider the fact that getting anew GameCube controller either means paying 40 dollars for one of these, or taking your chances with a cheap, Chinese off-brand product. Still, I bought it as a replacement for an aging controller and it's done that job well.Read full review

These control stick covers are of good quality, though not quite up to the same level of fit and finish as the Nintendo original parts. They will work just fine for most people. Installation is easy and took me no more than 10-15 minutes. These will work on all original 1st party Nintendo GameCube controllers, including the Wavebird wireless controllers.

It's amazing how well these controllers still hold together after the some 16 years since they were first put into production. I bought this one and the yellow c-stick (the right stick for non-Nintendo fans) was not properly registering my inputs and drifting significantly to one side. After popping it open with a tri-wing screwdriver (yes, Nintendo uses proprietary screws so be prepared), and removing the stick covering, I blasted some compressed air into the housing/mechanism (as well as in the control/left stick for good measure) and removed a pea-sized ball of dust. Once I put it back together, the stick worked perfectly! Just goes to show that with a little TLC, these controllers can really last a while.

Works and feels just like it should, but the "used" condition feels like a bit of an understatement. It definitely needs to be taken apart and cleaned, which I plan on doing, and it might need a new thumbstick mechanism, as it wobbles when I shake the controller. But it still functions just fine. Tested it with Sonic Unleashed for the Wii (because that's the only GC controller compatible game I have right now lol). All in all, I'm very happy with it and will be even happier once I clean it and get more games I can use it with.

Absolutely surprised this great of condition was only 30-ish bucks. 100% a worthwhile purchase imo, great condition and super tight control sticks. Only real knock is that the buttons feel a bit worn but even then its not very noticeable. Something weird thats more than likely my Wii, but just wanted to note it. It worked perfectly on my switch (via gc adapter) but not on my Wii. Again, more than likely my console, but felt it was noteworthy.

So back in March my GameCube controller broke so I had to wait to get a new one. I order this controller on the 17th and when it came in today I was not disappointed at all. It works perfectly! At first I did experience drift but that was because I hadn’t used my console in 4 months. After clearing the controller port it worked properly!

I have never seen a good controller that was not made by the company that made the console. Every single one has not worked with some games, had poorly designed buttons or thumbsticks, or stopped working altogether after a period of time.
