I love this rail, however I wish that it was a little bit taller. With mattresses being made much thicker these days, this bed rail only sticks up about 4 in off of the top of the mattress. This was the tallest one I could find as many of them don't even come up to the edge of the mattress. I do love the feature that you can unlock it and slide it underneath the mattress if you need to.

This product’s top edge leans inward towards the mattress and the bottom edge of it pushes away from the mattress. Also the straps that they provide that goes underneath the mattress to grab the opposite side of the bed does not have a tall enough gripping piece to make a good strong connection to the edge of the “soft” mattress. When pulled tight, to hold rail tightly to the bed, it just slips off. The rails that go under the mattress from the bed rails are very tall $ thick and make lumps under the mattress where they are put in place. The person that sleeps on the mattress feels the lumps when they lay on the bed. If u have one on each side, they don’t clip together and make 4 lumps under the mattress because you have to offset them. Not the product I thought I was getting. I would not recommend these.
